Lucy is Technology Research Officer with the NNFCC, working across the sectors of fuels and energy, polymers and materials, and chemicals. Across these sectors, Lucy provides up to date assessment of product and technology developments, and market activity, to a range of NNFCC stakeholders.
She also undertakes technical projects for Government and commercial clients. Lucy has a special interest in advanced biofuels, renewable polymers and packaging, and provides support for the UK Renewable Packaging Group and the Thermochemical Lignocellulosic Biomass Thematic Working Group.
Background
As a student Lucy gained practical experience of extracting high value chemicals from renewable resources, application of the principles of Green Chemistry, compiling environmental impact assessment and life cycle analysis.
