Food Packaging

Food packaging is most commonly made from fossil oils. However, much of this packaging could easily be replaced by renewable packaging made from plant starch.

Some renewable packaging material features the seedling logo, this means that they can be composted: they will break down when micro-organisms act on them. The nutrients produced will enrich the soil and can be used to grow new plants.
