We are seeking high quality candidates for the post of Consultant.

The post is for an initial 18 months with the potential for extension.

As a key member of NNFCC reporting to a member of the management team you will take on responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of NNFCC inputs into the Agrocycle project ( examining ways to recycle and add value to wastes from the Agri-Food sector and build solid business cases for these.

The post requires the ability to rapidly assimilate and critically analyse data and information in a well-planned and efficient manner, and to communicate information clearly and concisely. Individuals must have strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work within a flexible team environment. The ability to confidently present work to project partners/clients and at conferences is essential, as is the ability to effectively co-ordinate the inputs of other partners contributing to delivery.

Qualified to at least degree level in a relevant discipline. The ideal candidate will demonstrate analytical skills and a broad understanding of the issues involved and possess experience of working in a relevant field covering issues such as developing circular economy practices; adding value to waste and process by-products; supply chain analysis or business model analysis.  Experience may have been gained either in industry or as part of an MSc or PhD. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of the drivers for, and challenges faced by the emerging circular and bio-based economy.

The role is ideally suited to candidates with a strong environmental, science or technology background looking to apply their knowledge in the areas of business, technology and policy assessment. Experience in strategic business analysis, agricultural or product supply chains would be considered advantageous.

Regular travel inside and outside of the UK will be required to attend project meetings and workshops. Individuals must have the ability to work in the UK and travel freely in Europe.
