Summary
Lubricants made from vegetable oils offer a number of advantages over mineral oils. However, their thermal and oxidative stability characteristics are not as good as those of mineral oils.
The objective of the "Improved winter rape varieties for biolubricants" study was to evaluate the value of conventionally bred varieties to meet the requirements for biolubricants. This presentation presents the key messages from that study.
