The use of biomass for energy, fuels and materials continues to grow. The UK has positioned itself as a leader in biorenewable technologies and this has seen a significant increase in the number of facilities built over the past year.
Our installed bioenergy capacity currently stands at 2,000 MWe (half coming from landfill gas) and we can produce more than 700,000 tonnes of biofuel each year.
More information on the facilities, including their production capacity, the feedstocks they use and contact details are provided exclusively to NNFCC members here.
