The primary aim of this research was to determine whether specific attributes of non-food crops or their products from tropical agricultural systems exert strong influences on the outcomes of LCA studies.
Specifically, the studies and data sources were examined to identify elements in the life cycles that might be regarded as necessary or essential to have within LCA/LCI studies of tropically sourced materials in order to achieve completeness in LCA outcomes when comparisons are made with temperate bio-resources.
