Anaerobic Digestion in the UK – is there life beyond fiscal incentives?

Renewable energy subsidies have been essential to the recent expansion in the UK’s Anaerobic Digestion sector. While the Renewables’ Obligation (RO) has supported AD in the sludge sector for many years, the rapid recent increase in AD within the commercial and farming sectors is due to support from the Feed-in Tariff (FIT) and the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).  With the RO closed to new entrants, levels of FIT support considered insufficient to support new facilities and the RHI due to close to new entrants in 2020, this one day conference aims to address the question: What does this mean for AD in the UK?
