Foreword

Cast back to almost 6 months ago to the June edition of the Biobased Products market review where we reported on the launch of Dutch lactic acid giants Corbion’s new portfolio of neat bioplastic resins designed for the North American market. Fast forward to today and Corbion, in conjunction with Total in a 50/50 joint venture, have announced that construction of their new plant officially began on the 9th November this year with production of the bioplastic set to begin in 2018.........
