Sometimes, when developing something biobased, it can be difficult to quantify the level of greenhouse gas mitigation provided by your technology without a full Life Cycle Analysis. These are expensive and often provide barriers to the development of new biobased technologies. Other times where such information is useful lie in the claiming of government support, which often hinges on sustainability criteria. This is why at NNFCC we developed our Biogas Carbon Calculator, to assist generators in the bioenergy sector to navigate this hurdle.
