Foreword
Support for renewables is
spreading throughout the world. Spurred on by the Paris Agreement in 2016, countries
are introducing policies aiming to curb their greenhouse emissions, and to
likewise improve their resource efficiency. On the whole, progress is being
made, but the reality is that the majority of this progress is being made in
the heat and power sectors. Transport is lagging behind, and has seen much
lower decreases in emissions since records were begun. The main reasons for
this are twofold: the high consumer cost of electric vehicles, and continued
controversy surrounding the sustainability of biofuels. However.........
