applications within the bio-based economy. Hemp fibers, wood and seeds can be
used to manufacture quality bio-based plastics, furniture, flooring, insulation
material and alike. Hemp seeds also have a variety of proven health and
nutritional benefits, from reducing risks of heart disease to helping with
menopausal symptoms. Being rich in proteins, hemp seeds also constitute a
promising plant-based alternative to meat-based foods.
