About Us
The NNFCC is the UK’s National Centre for Biorenewable Energy, Fuels and Materials.
We specialise in providing information and knowledge on the supply of biomass, its use in industrial applications and the fate of biomaterials at their end-of-life.
History
Established by the UK Government in 2003 as the National Non-Food Crops Centre, the NNFCC has grown to become a leading UK consultancy focused on understanding biorenewable markets and technologies.
Services
In addition to our role as an advisor to the UK Government we are proud to offer industry leading consultancy and a range of supporting services.
Our services are tailored to give organisations a better understanding of both the opportunities, and how to overcome the challenges, presented by the biorenewables sector.
Team
The NNFCC team has a broad blend of skills and industrial backgrounds covering agriculture, biology, environmental science, energy engineering, chemistry, material and polymer science.
This diversity gives us a unique perspective on the development of the bioeconomy, the interaction between energy, fuel and material markets and the importance of environmental and social impacts.
