Lucy Hopwood

Lucy is the first point of contact for the agricultural industry and related bodies, advising on crop and technology options from national to individual level. She is responsible for offering advice, overcoming challenges and widely communicating the benefits of sourcing or providing feedstocks for biorenewables, adding value or installing bioenergy technologies on-farm.

Lucy is also NNFCC's lead on Anaerobic Digestion, initially as a farm-based renewable energy technology but also now being more widely deployed in the food and waste industries. Lucy liaises widely with the industry, undertakes project work and participates in meetings, conferences and numerous expert working groups.

Background

Lucy comes from a farming background bringing practical experience with a strong and current understanding of the industry. Prior to working at NNFCC Lucy worked in the Bio-Renewables Team at FERA undertaking research on crop opportunities and UK potential. Lucy is a member of BIAC (British Institute of Agricultural Consultants).
