Recently, biofuels policy has been under the spotlight on both sides of the pond, for different reasons. Here in Europe, the European Commission has announced its updated energy policy running through to 2030, detailing how the EU can reduce emissions in the energy sector. However, it has stripped all emissions reduction targets for road fuel, and not announced any new ones, in a move that many in the biofuels sector believe could be hugely damaging.
