NNFCC
is seeking a Senior LCA Analyst or LCA consultant who has a passion for
environmental sustainability to join our team of bioeconomy consultants. This
is an exciting opportunity for anyone wishing to make positive sustainability
impacts, and to influence the development of methodologies for carbon
accounting whilst working in a supportive, team-based environment.
- We
would expect the successful candidate to have a relevant Master’s degree or
PhD, ideally with several years of industrial/consultant/post-doctoral
experience using Life Cycle Assessment.
- Reporting
to a member of the management team you will undertake a range of consulting
tasks including LCA and wider sustainability appraisal of renewable fuels,
energy and materials policy evaluations, as well as market research, and
information and data analysis.
- The
post requires the ability to rapidly assimilate and critically analyse data in
a well-planned and efficient manner, and to communicate information clearly and
concisely. Individuals must have strong verbal and written communication skills
and demonstrate their ability to work within a flexible team environment.
- The
post requires experience in the development, application, and evaluation of
Life Cycle Assessment or Carbon Footprinting methodologies. Some knowledge of
associated standards, protocols, or databases, and an understanding of key
bioeconomy sectors would be advantageous. We would expect you to have knowledge
and experience in LCA modelling, including using software such as SimaPro, GaBi
or OpenLCA.
- An
interest in exploring and learning new approaches to support environmental
assessment such as developing / employing data, methods and tools is
particularly welcome.

Duration: Full-time, 24-month fixed term contract initially
