Due to retirement we are
seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Consultant to deliver commercial and
grant funded projects. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of clients, undertake
technical and strategic consulting projects, and contribute to the development
of our service offerings.

What we are looking for:
We are looking to recruit a Managing Consultant with a
track record of delivery in the Consultancy sector. The ideal candidate will
have a good level of knowledge of the AD industry and associated feedstock supply
chains. Experience working within AD or agriculture is desirable but not
essential. An understanding of the wider bioeconomy and related activities is
also beneficial.
Candidates are expected to have:
- The ability to oversee and execute wide ranging bioeconomy related commercial consultancy projects, with a strategic business focus.
- Excellent communication skills including written and oral presentation, both in person and online.
- A positive, pro-active 'can-do’ attitude and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- The ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and proactively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a consultancy environment.
- Strong understanding of AD technology, feedstocks, policy and regulatory frameworks, and market trends.
- Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- A strategic forward thinker, capable of translating complex challenges into actionable solutions.
- Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., agriculture, physical science, biosciences, or engineering, or business); postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver complex consulting projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
- Develop and manage client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and understanding their strategic and operational needs.
- Provide technical and policy expertise on AD and wider bioeconomy strategies.
- Support business development efforts, identifying new opportunities, writing proposals, and securing contracts.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
- Contribute to thought leadership, including producing reports, white papers and articles on emerging trends in the bioeconomy.
