Foreword
Commercial production of Sustainable Aviation
Fuels (SAF) continues to develop with a range of different feedstocks and
technologies under consideration to produce fuel that is both sustainable and
able to be produced at a reasonable cost and quantity. Large SAF production
facilities are under construction and agreements between aircraft operators and
fuel producers/ suppliers are regularly announced. SAF is already under limited
use within the global airline industry with legislation from governments and
engagement from commercial operators indicating a rapid growth in SAF uptake.
