Foreword
Sweden has some ambitious targets with regards to climate change and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. By 2040, Sweden plans to be fossil-free which will go a long way towards reducing emissions. Progress has been made this month towards reducing emissions, as the Swedish government has announced a greenhouse gas reduction mandate for aviation fuel. It will see a gradual increase in % reduction level, reaching a 27% emission reduction level by 2030. Norway too announced earlier in the year a 0.5% biofuel blending mandate which should see a 30% share of biofuels in the aviation sector by 2030.
