As demand increases at a very fast rate, the fashion industry is feeling the pressure to transition towards more sustainable ways and to redefine its entire value chain. This is presenting unprecedented opportunities for a number of industrial stakeholders.

International chemical company Solvay is launching Bio Amni®, its first partially biobased polyamide textile yarn. Thanks to this new product, sustainable textiles will now account for 30% of Solvay's global polyamide portfolio. This adds to Solvay’s strong commitment to the establishment of sustainable fashion value chains which incorporate sustainable production processes and disposal methods, and for which the company has already developed sustainable alternatives which use cleaner energy sources...
