Any business requires finance to help them begin – including paying
for premises, advertisement, and equipment; to operate – paying employees and suppliers,
and conducting operations; and to expand – increasing production, and opening
new facilities. According to the UK Department for Business, Energy &
Industrial Strategy, the number of private sector businesses fell by 6.5% from
2020 to 2021 – by far the largest year-on-year drop since records began in 2000
– many because of bankruptcy from the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, the importance
